Angela Aguirre

Hello, Bruins! My name is Angela Aguirre, and I'm excited to be a Social Media and Marketing Peer Coach with UCLA Financial Wellness! I'm a senior at UCLA majoring in Sociology with a minor in Global Health, and I'm also a proud first-generation transfer student.

As a first-generation college student and transfer student, I know how overwhelming college can be at times. There are so many opportunities and resources available, but it's not always easy knowing where to start or who to ask. Throughout my time at UCLA, I've realized how much of a difference it makes when someone shares a resource or points you in the right direction. That's one of the reasons I wanted to join Financial Wellness.

I hope to use social media to help students learn about the resources available to them in a way that's engaging, easy to understand, and relevant to everyday college life. Whether it's sharing financial tips, promoting campus resources, or helping students feel more comfortable asking questions, I hope the content I create helps fellow Bruins feel a little more informed and supported.

Outside of UCLA, I'm a huge horror fan and love anything spooky year-round. I'm also a big fan of classic cars and lowriders, and my dream car is a 1984 Buick Regal. If I'm not studying, you'll probably find me at a car show, volunteering, or counting down the days until Halloween.

I'm excited to be part of the Financial Wellness team, and I can't wait to connect with fellow Bruins!
